24 Hours in Chicago

On Wednesday and Thursday, I had a whirlwind trip to the Windy City. I had a business meeting in the financial district at the Harris Bank Building. After round one of the meetings, I caught my first ever Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field. It was an awesome experience on a gorgeous summer night. We took a cab to the game but took the train (a wiser choice) back downtown. The Cubs were victorious. They got a walk off hit in the bottom of the 9th inning. Good stuff.

Before round two of the meetings on Thursday morning, I got out for an early morning run through the financial district and along Lake Michigan. Grant Park was all fenced off because of the Taste of Chicago, so I avoided it. It was a short run, but I got some great views of the always impressive skyline. It was a crystal clear morning.

I was off to O’Hare Airport by noon and back in Hartford by late afternoon, so it was a quick one.
