After my three days in London, I continued on to Frankfurt am Main to visit with one of Horst Engineering’s top aerospace industry customers. I last visited this customer 10 years ago, so it was a long overdue visit. I was excited to meet with them, tour the renovated plant, and discuss their growth prospects.
I got to Frankfurt late on a Wednesday night and between the plane, shuttle bus, train, and walking, it was past midnight when I reached the hotel near the Hessen Center on the outskirts of the city. Thankfully, the plant was also walking distance from the hotel and train station.
After my customer visit, I returned to the hotel and did some work. Then I headed back into the city center to walk around and take in the sites. I hadn’t been to Frankfurt in years, so it was an enjoyable afternoon.
A late day thunderstorm didn’t dampen my spirits. I visited Foto Rahn, a Leica dealer and photo gallery. I soaked in the sounds of the city. Thanks to the Happy Cow app, I found a great vegan restaurant called Naturbar. After dinner, I walked around some more and then return to the hotel because I had to catch the train again early in the morning.
